Bilingual Volunteers Needed at Mary’s Center

Mary’s Center is seeking bilingual (English and Spanish) volunteers to help conduct research at their DC and Maryland medical clinics.  The purpose of the study is to identify major reasons parents do or do not have their children vaccinated for human papillomavirus (HPV).  Activities include recruiting participants, informing participants about the study, and helping participants complete a survey.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with research that will help Mary’s Center develop strategies to increase HPV vaccination.

Volunteers are needed October through November 2015.  Hours are flexible, but a commitment of 10 hours minimum per week is preferred.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must complete CITI Human Subjects online course (CITI modules can be accessed through GWU)
  • Must complete Mary’s Center volunteer intake process
  • Must be able to attend a short volunteer training

For more information contact Lizzett Uria at LUria@maryscenter.org and include “Spanish Speaking Volunteers” in the subject line.
