Hiring: Research Associate, Patient Navigation
Organization: George Washington University Cancer Institute
Location: Washington, DC

Description: The Research Assistant (Patient Navigation) provides primary support for an innovative research project that seeks to develop tracking and value tools and gather data to advance the field of oncology patient navigation. Working with the Director of Patient-Centered Programs, this position supports formative research for tool development, implementation of tools and data analysis on tool feasibility and outcomes.

Duties: Conduct literature reviews to inform tool development. Become trained on REDCap survey tool.Program a survey through REDcap, including creation of data dictionary. Draft recruitment materials. Identify and implement recruitment methods. Coordinate focus groups and interviews with research participants. Track and administer participant incentives. Record and transcribe focus group and interview data. Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Draft briefs with data analysis findings and recommendations. Draft training manual to conduct tool implementation pilot. Participate in web-based training of pilot sites. Provide technical assistance to pilot sites. Contribute to funder report. Contribute to manuscript draft(s) on project findings.
