Pre-Dental Info Session

Goolsby VCUCalling All Pre-Dental Students!

The process of achieving the goal of gaining admittance into dental school can be daunting. What does a competitive applicant look like on paper? How can you improve your competitive standing as an applicant? The GW Pre-Health Advising Office and the GW Pre-Dental Society will be hosting Dr. Susan Goolsby, Director of Student Recruitment for VCU School of Dentistry. Dr. Goolsby will be speaking about curriculum, shadowing and volunteering, as well as stats and deadlines relevant to VCU’s admissions process. Snacks will be served.

Dr. Susie Parker Goolsby earned her D.D.S. degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. After she completed a one year A.E.G.D. residency at Howard University College of Dentistry, she relocated to Louisiana. Dr. Goolsby worked for the non-profit corporation, the New Orleans Health Corporation, in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans for a number of years before opening a solo practice in rural Thibodaux, Louisiana. Dr. Goolsby returned to Virginia to pursue a career in academics. She completed a Master’s of Science in Health Administration from the VCU Department of Health Administration.
